Internship Overview
The Edelman Internship program provides exposure to a range of industries and functions, allowing interns to gain broad insight into key management and policy issues. Interns work closely with experienced consultants and have the opportunity to drive initiatives, build a professional network, and potentially transition to an Associate Consultant role after the internship
Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting briefing materials for clients
- Monitor political announcements and parliamentary activity
- Support political engagement programs by creating stakeholder maps, outreaching to relevant offices, and handling logistics
- Conduct research to develop biographical and policy briefings
- Support event management by liaising with MPs’ offices, coordinating with the parliamentary events team, and handling logistics
- Build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Conduct ad-hoc research tasks, including new business opportunities, policy briefings, events, and speaking slots
- Help with accurate account administration
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration experience
- Proven adaptability and ability to thrive in dynamic environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Passion for solving problems and interest in strategy consulting or public affairs.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program, preferably in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field
- Pursuing a relevant degree in business, economics, or a related field
- Strong academic record and a genuine interest in communications, public affairs, or international relations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, highly motivated, and quick to learn
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
